Computer Snooper

The name Computer Snooper has been given to several spywares. One of the naming is given to hardware like a device that is very tiny and inconspicuous. It is plugged like an adapter into the keyboard socket in the back of the CPU and the other end is connected to the keyboard. This Computer snooper saves a file that has a record of each key you pressed.

Another naming says that computer snooper is a spyware that records instant messaging conversations. It can save logs for nearly all instant messaging programs. This spyware is so surreptitious and not apparent to the user by any means. It has no icons, no pop-ups, nothing to indicate its existence. Moreover, it creates a lot of files and registry items and it runs automatically. Creators of Computer Snooper are Spylife. It poses a security threat of 7 on a scale of 10.

To remove it you must detect and delete the autorun reference HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\ microsoft\windows\currentversion\run snooperdemo.

Then you will have to delete the following registry items:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\snooper software, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run snooperdemo, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run snooperdemo 

Afterwards, you must eradicate the following list of files:
csnoop-a.exe, readme.doc, snooper.exe, tray5d.exe, %common_desktopdirectory%\computer snooper instructions.lnk, %windows%\systray\tray5d.exe, %windows%\snooper.exe, %windows%\systray\bark.wav, %windows%\systray\readme.doc, %windows%\systray\tray5d.exe, %windows%\snooper.exe, csnoop-a.exe

Downloading and using software such as Desktop Anti-malware: Pro User: X-Cleaner, or Computer Snooper Finder Software or Endpoint Spyware Remediation: Greynet Enterprise Manager, IM, P2P control, malware prevention and web filtering in single appliance: Unified Security Gateway would help a lot also in removing Computer Snooper from the PC.
