Codename Alvin- a commercial key logger. It allows the person who installs it on a computer to monitor all the actions taken on the computer, all websites visited, every key pressed, all applications used…etc.

It is a surveillance tool that can provide the installing person with specific details like the time a certain application was used. It poses a security risk of 6 on a scale of 10 because it collects very specific information regarding the user’s activities and actions on the computer.

Codename Alvin has diverse usages. It can be used as a tool to assure yourself that your computer is not being used when you do not please or when your private files are being harangued or accessed without your consent. Also one of the very common usages is parental surveillance on their kids. However, a surreptitious implementation is information theft.
To remove Codename Alvin spyware you must remove the following files: cnalvin.exe, cnalvwsi.exe, install.log, cnalvin.exe, cnalvwsi.exe. You will also have to remove the directory C: \ Program Files \ Codename Alvin.

Also, you must search for any spyware related key registry, files or directories present on your computer. Such malicious files can be in the form of: exe, dll, registry key, browser hijack, toolbar, lsp, browser plugin and/or process.
