Black Box Software Review: What Is Black Box Spyware?

Black Box is potentially dangerous commercial monitoring software from BSSCO, Inc with a danger rating of 6 out of 10 which makes it capable of logging activity and taking system snapshots.

Such software as Black Box have the aim of monitoring user activity and need not be installed post the consent of the user. Since these spyware are available in the market commercially, they aren’t always detected by anti-virus software. The most common type of form of such software is the key logger which logs keyboard keystrokes or takes snapshots to send back to the person who is responsible for having this software installed on the machine. This commercial monitoring software logs keyboard strokes typed. Since it allows a statistical report to be given back, such software can be used by corporates and employers.

Properties of Black_Box include autostarting/staying resident, logging keystrokes, stealth tactics, works in invisible mode and sending out logs by FTP or email.

Removal

This spyware can be removed both manually and through tools available on the internet automatically. Though the latter is definitely a far more convenient and quicker way and more suitable for amateurs, nevertheless I have mentioned the manual removal process:

Kill the processes like ebbhe.exe, uninstall.exe, unregister and reboot elomon.dll. Remove the files such as ebb.cnt, ebb.hlp, ebbhe.exe, elomon.dll, full.txt, sdat.mdb, uninstall.exe.

The manual process is fairly short and straight forward too. So just in case the automatic tools fail to function correctly, you can keep your options open and go ahead with the manual removal techniques!
