Absolute Key Logger is also known as Spyware.AbsolutKey and Absolute KeyLogger. This program acts as spyware on your computer and allows the spy to view activity taking place on your computer. It monitors keystrokes on your computer and can send back vital and confidential information to the spy. Hence, it is dangerous. The only reduction in the threat comes due to its mode of transmission, which requires manual installation of the spyware.
However, since there is access to confidential information such as passwords, and even credit card numbers which you might enter on your computer, it could prove to be a security threat and should therefore be removed. In addition, the software has no other utility except to spy on the PC on which it is installed, making it unnecessary to be kept.
Removal of the Absolute Key Logger involves 4 steps:
1. Updating the antispyware and antivirus software, which you might be having.
2. Uninstalling the Absolute Key Logger from your system: This can be done by removing the program by the name of “Absolute Key Logger” from the Start> Control Panel > Add Remove Programs utility, or you can directly find the uninstall option by clicking on Start>Programs>Absolute Key Logger> Uninstall.
